“Old” content’s still applicable for fashion purposes and also you can go level something in it

It seems like rather the midpoint between”hard reset with Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta cosmetic transfer” (like going from Secret World to SWL, which was a dumpster fire of a process) and also”routine expansion” (such as BfA into Shadowlands, TBC into WotLK, Stormblood into Shadowbringers, respectively ). It is not quite like FFXIV Realm Reborn (like a few folks speculated when we first heard about it). Because the”old” areas continue to be part of mostly the same game, and you can go back and play them with all the preexisting abilities/classes/etc. I am assuming people who want OG PSO2 cosmetics would still need to earn/buy them in OG PSO2. If that’s true, we end up at something like current WoW (if you squint a bit).
“Old” content’s still applicable for fashion purposes and also you can go level something in it, but the new content created for the growth areas goes off the expansion leveling (meaning in this case, all-new/changed/different classes). Along with the abilities will be changed enough that a level-cap PSO2 character and a level-cap NGS personality will feel and behave largely differently, even if they share a number of the exact same ability names/similar capability animations. (Compare just like a Wow Classic Paladin into a Present BfA Paladin or something).
I am using different MMOs as comparison points to wrap my head about it, but that I might just be babbling at this point.
Wonder if they’ll have some thing very similar to these, or perhaps something like the partner machine in PSU.I believe it was mentioned somewhere which mags do exist in NGS, but they don’t serve the exact same performance as PSO2. You will notice they don’t specify that mags no more exist, only that the additional mag tickets of PSO2 will not confer the exact same benefits in NGS (implying they will still do some thing ). I believe Mags are probably going to be an optional to be shown on NGS, I trust that Mags are perhaps enjoy a Cortana AI or some Destiny Guide mini bot thingy likely that might choose to appear from buy PSO2 Meseta nowhere or could be visible at all times. If they are able to innovate Mag or perhaps create Mag something more safer to invest points in unlike current PSO2 Mag feeding, it’ll be nice. I can imagine the Mag might just be like a way for broadcasts out of the navigator (or other characters) into the player and because of this a type of decorative function of that.
