Food Preparation

Magnesium chloride is popularly used in food preparation, particularly in Asian communities and children’s formulas. Magnesium chloride works as a coagulant agent on liquid forms of soy, helping the material solidify into tofu. It is also added to formula milk fed to babies. It is a compound added to most foods sold to consumers and acts as a  mineral supplement.

Used in the Medical Industry

MgCI2 can be found in capsules and tablets and can be used as nutritional supplements. When taken regularly, it prevents blood clotting,keeps blood pressure in check, strengthens teeth and bones, and reduces the risk of severe ailments such as osteoporosis, heart attack, etc.


Research has proved that Hypomagnesaemia mainly in cattle and sheep follows after winter when a herd is turned on to lush spring grass.
