The Working Principle of UV Printers Work

What is a UV printer?
Ultraviolet LED Inkjet Printer is a high-tech, free-form full-color digital press. It is not limited by materials and can be used for color photo printing on T-shirts, sliding doors, cabinet doors, sliding doors, glass, plates, various signs, crystal, PVC, acrylic, metal, plastic, stone, leather and other surfaces. It does not require plate making, it is finished in one print, and the colors are rich and colorful. It is resistant to abrasion and UV rays, easy to operate, and fast in printing images, fully in line with industrial printing standards.
The principle of working with a UV printer:
- Printing principle: The UV flatbed printer adopts piezoelectric inkjet printing technology and does not directly contact the surface of the material. It relies on the voltage inside the nozzle to spray the ink in the nozzle onto the surface of the substrate to achieve the purpose of printing the picture. Among them, the nozzle plays a key role. Generally, there are thousands of nozzle holes on a small nozzle. It is difficult to see these nozzle holes with the naked eye. The nozzle can finely control the ink volume of the nozzle. Now the development and production of the nozzle is the core technology. There are no companies in the country that can make it, and only foreign nozzles can be imported. Among them, Japanese nozzles occupy the largest market.
- Curing principle: The UV flatbed printer reacts with the ultraviolet light emitted by the LED cold light source lamp and the photosensitive curing agent in the UV ink, causing the pigment molecules in the UV ink to solidify on the surface of the material to achieve the drying of the ink. It is completely different from the previous printing equipment that requires baking and drying. This can improve production efficiency while reducing unnecessary equipment and personnel expenses. Since the UV ink itself can react with the ultraviolet rays in the sunlight to cause solidification, a black bottle is needed during storage and transportation to avoid exposure to sunlight.
- Positioning principle: UV flatbed printercan accurately control the printing of patterns on different materials, different volumes, different heights and various shapes. In the positioning of the X-axis, the grating decoder is mainly used to direct the horizontal printing of the device. On the Y-axis, the servo motor is mainly driven to control the length of the printed material. In terms of height positioning, it mainly relies on the lifting function of the nose. With these three positioning principles, the UV printer can accurately position and print various patterns.
