From the stage we drive upwards with a clearly oversized lift and can look at the carpentry shop, in which scenery is built.
Upholstery and painting are placed on the Hafenstraße for reasons of space. This is now being rehearsed in the former Mall Valley, currently for „Rusalka“, where apparently many bathtubs with skaters are used.
Not only scenes are made in the theater itself Wigsen.com, also a part of the costumes.
For this there is a ladies‘ and a men’s tailor’s shop and, of course, also make-up artists. They are concerned with the production of earthaar wigs and beards, which are adapted to the performers with the help of a head print.
Many questions were answered during the tour, for example, how the souffling works, how artificial blood tastes and how long it takes for a piece to be brought to the stage and what is needed.
The tour through the Aalto Theater is regularly offered, takes about two hours and a pre-booking of the tickets is recommended especially for the Saturday dates. There is also a short guide for (only) architectural enthusiasts.
For children the tour is only suitable to a limited extent, as the only young visitor in our group clearly understood („I am bored!“). If I have understood it correctly, however, school class tours are also offered.
